Camera

Photography is sounding very interesting to me lately!
I'm interested in nature but my iPod camera isn't cutting it!!! ( 1.3 MP !!!)

I have looked at 2 cameras ( I'm looking at DSLRs)

1. Nikon d3000 - starter nikon dslr, good features...

2. Sony a390 - 1up from lowest Sony dslr, a little old but good price!

Any ideas
or other suggestions for starter DSLRs under $500

I've been a little short on ideas lately, as you can probably tell I haven't put up any videos at all in about a week...
Any ideas would be very good, I want to do Another stop motion but haven't been feeling motivated...
